Values Integration Awards Program

 

The Values Integration Awards Program, sponsored by Greek Life at Michigan Tech, is an awards program designed to assess and reward fraternity/sorority chapters based on the core values of fraternity/sorority membership, as outlined below:

INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT
Chapter will develop and maintain a scholastic program for its members that will enhance their academic success.

RITUAL AND VALUES
Chapter will instill the values of their organization, Greek community, and Michigan Technological University. Chapter will be responsible for its actions and recognize their implications in the Greek and campus communities.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Chapter will encourage values-based leadership development and promote leadership opportunities for its members.

 

FRATERNAL FRIENDSHIPS
Chapter will foster brotherhood and sisterhood between all Greek organizations. Chapter will respect the dignity of people while embracing the free exchange of ideas and beliefs. Chapter will educate and promote healthy lifestyles.

 

SERVICE AND CITIZENSHIP
Chapter will recognize the importance of serving the community and gain an understanding of social issues facing their communities.

The deadline for award submissions is Friday, December 4, 2009.

 

The 2010 Greek Awards Ceremony is scheduled for

Wednesday, April 21, 2010 @ 6:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom.

 

 

In order to assist chapters in identifying areas for growth congruent with the core values of our community, the following assessment rubric has been provided. Chapters may use this resource to identify their level of achievement within each area and how to identify areas for improvement.
